# El Camarón Crudo

> Two cousins who grew up in the restaurant business, watching our parents and uncles work hard in the restaurant industry, decided to embark on a journey of our own. While our family focused on traditional Mexican cuisine, we were inspired to explore a different path. We taught ourselves how to create authentic Mexican seafood, the kind you’d find along the coastal regions of Sinaloa, Mexico. This journey began in 2020, during the pandemic when work was slow, and we found ourselves brainstorming ideas at our family’s restaurant.
